Man wanted for murder caught after nearly 23 years

A fugitive wanted for murder is back in custody after attempting to re-enter the U.S.

Rigoberto Resendez, 47, was caught trying to cross back into the Rio Grande Valley at the Hidalgo International Bridge.

Resendez has been on the run for nearly 23 years. Resendez is now sitting in the Hidalgo County Jail and is being held on a $250,000 bond.
