Meter Leak Causing Spike in Weslaco Resident’s Water Bill
WESLACO – A Weslaco man says his new digital water meter sprung a leak after the city had it installed.
Armando Beltran tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS his bill spiked from being $111 to over $300.
He says he was told by the city it was his responsibility to fix it.
KRGV’s Cecilia Gutierrez reached out to the Weslaco city manager. Mike Perez says it depends on what side the meter is leaking.
He adds they’ll take another look at Beltran’s water meter in these coming days.
