Mission holds 'Veterans Appreciation BBQ'

The city of Mission held a "Veterans Appreciation BBQ" on Saturday, thanking Rio Grande Valley veterans for their service to the United States.

Mission provided veterans with free chicken plates during a drive-through barbecue at the Mission Event Center.

Mayor Armando "Doc" O'caña said the city wanted to provide veterans with a small token of appreciation.
