Police Investigating Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Accident in Los Indios
UPDATE (8/6): The investigation into the accident in Los Indios continues.
Police Chief Jose De La Rosa says they are reviewing surveillance video that captured the accident to determine if there was any wrongdoing.
He says the man was walking to a business off of Military Highway when he was hit by a pick-up truck.
The driver of the truck did stop and has not been charged.
The consulate is working with the man's family to make arrangements to get his body back in Honduras.
LOS INDIOS – A police investigation is underway south of Harlingen.
A Honduras man is dead after he was hit while crossing the street.
The scene is still very active.
The man has not been identified, but CHANNEL 5 NEWS is told he’s between 50 to 60 years of age.
Police are still interviewing the driver who hit him.
