Risks of Using Eye Contacts for Halloween Costumes
WESLACO – If you’re dressing up this Halloween, you may want to consider the risks of using color contacts with your costume.
A local optometrist tells us the tint on the contacts makes it difficult for the eyes to get oxygen.
"If it's too tight or too loose, it can make some damage to the eye. So it's very important that people take that into mind,” says Optometrist Denisse Lopez with Thurmond Eye Associates. “We only have one pair of eyes that we really need to take care of.”
Lopez explains the contacts should be obtained from an eye doctor.
