Schwarzenegger calls Cameron County voting center 'one of the greatest investments I've ever made'
Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger joined Cameron County Elections Administrator Remi Garza on Wednesday for a discussion of the November 2020 election.
The University of Southern California Schwarzenegger Institute provided Cameron County with a $250,000 grant for the election.
Thanks in part to the money, which funded voting "super centers," Cameron County had strong voter turnout.
The institute provided grants to 33 counties nationwide.
"I find it's such a wonderful opportunity to invest in something that is the future of this country," Schwarzenegger said. "And so I think it was one of the greatest investments I've ever made."
