Shelters Across Valley Opening due to Cold Weather
WESLACO – Several shelters across the Rio Grande Valley will open their doors as a wind chill advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Below is a list of shelters that will remain open Monday night and into Tuesday morning.
Salvation Army – 1600 North 23rd Street (ID needed)
First Baptist Church – 600 South Kansas Avenue (Open from 6 p.m. through 7 a.m. Tues.)
Loaves and Fishes – 514 South E Street (check in between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.)
Ozanam Center – 656 North Minnesota Avenue
