Skeletal Remains Found in Rio Grande City Pending for Identification
RIO GRANDE CITY – Rio Grande City police are waiting for results to see if skeletal remains match the identity of a body found nearby.
Rio Grande City Police Chief Noe Castillo says the identification belongs to a male Mexican national.
He was found in city limits, not on ranchlands.
Police say this area is commonly used by people who are crossing into the country illegally.
Investigators have not released specifics because the bones were found just hours ago.
KRGV’s Taylor Winkel has the details.
