Sullivan City Upgrading Technology for First Responders
SULLIVAN CITY – A Rio Grande Valley city is upgrading their technology to increase efficiency.
The community, along with first responders, has dealt with the outdated technology for years.
“Currently our court depends on that, when they're doing either online payments or online with the state, we have very low internet speeds and it takes pretty much forever. So, it'll be quicker, faster and more efficient,” says Chief Richard Ozuna, Sullivan City Police Department.
The police department upgraded their computer database.
Everything will be filed online, which will shorten the wait times for officers in the field to receive information.
KRGV’s Carolina Cruz spoke with Ozuna about the goals of this digital transition.
