Suspect Connected to Edinburg Homicide Behind Bars
UPDATE (2/28): The suspect in an Edinburg murder is now behind bars.
Police arrested the man at an international bridge Wednesday afternoon.
This is Edinburg's third homicide of the year.
EDINBURG – Authorities are searching for a suspect after a woman was found dead in Edinburg.
Edinburg police say they responded to the 3000 block of East Efrain Street near Doolittle Road just after 11 p.m. Monday.
That’s where they discovered an unresponsive female who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are searching for 39-year-old Isidro Mancilla Jr. in connection to her death.
A spokesperson for Edinburg police Oscar Trevino says there are reports that the suspect was on foot in the area.
