Texas Senators Visit the RGV Amid Immigration Crisis
MCALLEN – The two Texas senators visited the Rio Grande Valley to work toward a bipartisan solution for the immigration crisis.
John Cornyn and Ted Cruz discussed proposed legislation on the practice of family detention on Friday.
Cruz said more resources are needed to process cases quickly due to a current 700,000-case backlog.
Both said they hope they can gain bipartisan support by having more discussions like the one that took place today.
