UPDATE: All Clear Given after Hunters Force Soft Lockdowns at Edinburg Schools
EDINBURG – Authorities in Edinburg say dove hunters near two schools forced soft lockdowns Thursday morning.
The soft lockdowns were called at Betts and Esparza elementary schools after reports of shots fired in the area.
The Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District police chief says they responded to the area and made contact with the hunters.
The “all clear” at both schools was given minutes later.
