UPDATE: Penitas woman finds 4 dogs dead, possibly poisoned
PEÑITAS – Six dogs were possibly poisoned in Hidalgo County – only two survived.
Brenda Cantu says she found the dogs Sunday on her property. The animal do not belong to her, but she says she’s used to seeing them around and often fed them.
“My daughter was laying down next to it and talking to it. It was just like really ugly,” said Cantu. She added the dogs were foaming from the mouth.
The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case.
