Valley artists shift to live streamed performances to reach audience

MCALLEN – Staying indoors during shelter-in-place orders might be driving people to look for entertainment online.

In the Rio Grande Valley, several performing artists are adjusting to the changes the coronavirus pandemic has caused.

“We're live streaming every single day, different content. Because one of the things as a band, which is the business as well as a recording studio, is you have to stay relevant. And during this crisis, video content is the most valuable thing,” said Joshua Lopez, a musician.

Many are focusing on live streaming to continue getting their message to their audience.
