Valley Doctor Accused in Health Care Fraud Case Denied Bail
MCALLEN – A Rio Grande Valley doctor charged for his alleged involvement in health care fraud was denied bail.
On Tuesday, Judge Peter Ormsby ruled an order for detention in Dr. Jorge Zamora-Quezada’s case due to “significant evidence.”
The judge believes his multi-million dollar penthouse in Mexico and his private jet pointed to easy ways of escaping charges against him.
Dr. Zamora-Quezada faces one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering and five counts of health care fraud.
