Victim in Weslaco Fatal Crash Identified
UPDATE (3/14): A 28-year-old Weslaco man was identified as the victim in the deadly accident.
Investigators said Juan Cavazos was behind the wheel when he lost control of his car. The crash happened on the 2100 block of South Bridge Avenue over the weekend.
Cavazos was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
WESLACO - One person is dead after an early morning crash in Weslaco.
Police responded to a collision in the 2100 block of South Bridge Avenue around 8 a.m. on Sunday morning. They arrived to find a black 2008 Dodge Avenger which had rolled over. Police say the driver of the car was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
As of Sunday morning, police officers were still working on locating the driver's family to notify them of the incident. The Weslaco Police Department is expected to provide more information on Monday.
