Woman Charged in Aggravated Robbery of Elderly Man and Woman
A 23-year-old woman is charged in an aggravated robbery case out of Harlingen.
Saturday morning, police responded to the 1400 block of Morgan Avenue where an elderly man and woman were sitting in their SUV.
Authorities said that's where Mercedes Marie Ramirez grabbed the man's arm and forced him out of the vehicle.
The female passenger, grabbed the key from the ignition and ran to safety.
According to police, when Ramirez realized the key was gone, she went after the man, demanding he give it to her.
Ramirez's bond was set at $85,000.
