RAYMONDVILLE – Two former Willacy County guards are awaiting sentencing. They both pleaded guilty to bribery charges.

Stephen Salinas and Harry Cordero worked at the Willacy County Regional Detention Facility.

Prosecutors said the guards gave the inmates prohibited items for money.

The men supplied inmates with alcohol and cell phones.

Cordero’s sentencing is set for March. Salinas’s sentencing is set for April.
