PROGRESO – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Progreso-Donna Port of Entry seized nearly $1 million in methamphetamine.

Officers referred a vehicle to secondary inspection on Saturday, Oct. 14. Upon further inspection, they found 48 pounds of meth concealed within 10 beverage containers inside the car.

The driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old U.S. citizen from Mesquite, Texas was arrested.
