ALTON – Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire at a local business in Alton.

The incident happened at about 6 p.m. Sunday on the 2600 block of East Main Avenue.

We’re told an Alton police officer ran into the building after hearing someone may have been inside.

No one was found in the building.
