DONNA – An investigation is underway after a body was found in the water near the Donna International Bridge.

Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jena Palacios told CHANNEL 5 NEWS they responded to Valley View Road just before 10:00 a.m.

Palacios said the body was that of a man, his age and identity is unknown at this time.

Investigators said there didn’t appear to be any signs of foul play. 

An autopsy was ordered.
