BROWNSVILLE--A Brownsville hotel caught fire Saturday morning.

Brownsville fire said Hotel El Jardin, located on the 1100 block of E. Levee St. caught fire around 4 a.m. According to the fire department, there were large flames and heavy smoke coming from the hotel's rooftop.

The hotel was vacant at the time of the fire. No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is undetermined. The Cameron County Fire Marshal's office is investigating.
