WESLACO - Two Brownsville men are two of six people pleading guilty in a bribery scheme involving Mexican contracts early November.

Prosecutors said Kamta Ramraine and Daniel Perez, both 69, admitted to conspiring to pay bribes to several foreign officials. Their intent was to ensure that their Brownsville-based company won aircraft parts and services contracts with Mexican government-owned customers.

The scheme began in 2006.

All six defendants will be sentences sometime next year.
