CBP Announces Contractors Hired for Border Wall Prototypes
WESLACO – Construction on four different prototypes for a border wall could start within a few weeks, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
CBP announced Thursday afternoon four companies were awarded construction contracts.
They are Caddell Construction out of Alabama, Arizona-based D.B.A. Fisher Industries, Texas Sterling Construction out of Houston and W.G. Yates and Sons Construction of Mississippi.
Those projects are for 30-foot high concrete wall prototypes set to go up in the San Diego area.
The prototypes will help the government decide on what type of construction will move forward.
