Classes Continue at Donna High School as School District Police Investigate Shooting Rumors
DONNA – School district police confirms reports of a possible shooting or shooting threats at Donna High School have not been validated.
Donna Independent School District says "no shots were fired" at the school Thursday morning. Despite refuting the rumors, officers continue patrolling the campus as a precaution and making sure students and staff are safe.
In a statement, Donna ISD spokesperson Sandra Quintanilla says school administrators will be notifying parents “that there is no threat to student’s safety.”
Classes will continue as scheduled.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
