ALAMO – Two suspects are in custody after a crash involving a DPS agent near Alamo.

The crash happened Tuesday on the eastbound lanes of Expressway 83 between Alamo and Donna.

DPS Lt. Johnny Hernandez told CHANNEL 5 NEWS an agent with DPS’ criminal investigation division was trying to assist a trooper. The trooper was allegedly struggling with a suspect when the crash occurred.

The two suspects were taken into custody.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
