RAYMONDVILLE - The driver of a tractor trailer involved in a quadruple-fatal crash in Willacy County was released on bond.

Antonio Quintero-Valdez Jr., 38, was charged with four counts of criminal negligent homicide on Tuesday.

The Weslaco native was behind the wheel of a big rig when he lost control and hit a Chevy pick-up head on. Authorities said all four people inside the truck were killed.

Two of the victims were students of Lasara ISD. The superintendent said they’re prepared to help students and families when school is back in session.
