Edinburg Man Faces Aggravated Kidnapping, Sexual Assault Charges
EDINBURG – An Edinburg man is accused of kidnapping a waitress and assaulting her.
Andrew Ramos is facing multiple charges. A criminal complaint alleges he was supposed to give the waitress a ride but instead drove her to a parking lot.
Police said Ramos choked her to the point of unconsciousness when she tried to stop him from sexually assaulting her.
The complaint details Ramos eventually took the victim to a hotel where the assault continued. When police arrived, they said the victim’s eyes were swollen shut.
Ramos now faces five charges including aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault.
