FDA advisory panel to discuss COVID-19 booster shots
On Friday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will meet to determine if there’s enough evidence to support that a Pfizer booster shot against COVID-19 is safe and effective for people above 16.
With the recent surge of staff and students across Valley schools testing positive for COVID-19, President and CEO of DHR Health Institute for Research and Development Dr. Sohail Rao says if the FDA allows the third shot, Texans should take the opportunity seriously.
Last month, the Biden administration said it would begin offering booster shots to everyone on Sept. 20.
