WESLACO – Multiple agencies and organizations are providing legal assistance to low-income individuals impacted by last month’s floods.

Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, FEMA along with other organizations will help flood victims with:

• Securing government benefits
• Insurance claims
• Repair contracts
• Replacing wills and other important legal documents lost in disaster
• Consumer protection issues (example: price-gouging, contractor scams)
• Consultation on mortgage foreclosure problems and landlord-tenant issues
