RIO GRANDE CITY – Approximately 145 roosters were seized from a property in Starr County.

Joseias Flores was charged in what is now a cockfighting investigation.

Local, state and federal authorities are all involved in the case.

In addition to the birds, officials say they also found sharp tools used in fighting at that location.
