Man Charged with Drug Possession Following Traffic Stop
PORT ISABEL – A traffic stop led to the arrest of a man found in possession of alleged cocaine in Cameron County.
The Port Isabel Police Department says Jorge Andrade Sanchez was stopped for speeding Tuesday night.
According to a press release sent out Wednesday, he failed to provide a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
After the officer conducted a pat down, he found 8.9 grams of the drug on his person.
Sanchez was charged with possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Cameron County jail.
His bond was set at $50,000.
