MCALLEN – Increasing wages, tourism and expanding local business were some of the topics mentioned in McAllen State of the City Address.

Mayor Jim Darling celebrated multiple cultural events held over the past year and he touted the city’s many accomplishments.

Now looking ahead, he plans on sharing the success with families who live right across the border by building a new bridge.
