National Night Out

ALTON- The Alton Police Department is proud to announce their first ever National Night out Community Event.

This meet and greet event will serve as a way for the community to build a strong partnership with the Alton police. The event will kick off Tuesday, August 7 from 6-10 p.m. at Sylvia Vela Park.

Featured guest speakers will include Alton Mayor Salvador Vela, State Senator Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa, District Attorney Ricardo Rodriguez, and Sheriff J.E. "Eddie" Guerra.

Additionally, there will be performances by local school including Mission High School, Domingo Trevino Cheer, and Waitz Elementary Folklorico. Live bands will take the stage starting at 7:30 p.m. with Conjunto Sol, followed by Wreckless Texas at 8:30 p.m.

Free food will be provided for the community and there will be over 25 vendors giving away school supplies and free back to school haircuts!
