SEBASTIAN – All eight-liners in Sebastian are closed, according to Willacy County Sheriff Larry Spence.

The move comes after the county put a permit system in place. The deadline to apply for a permit ended last week.

Spence says deputies will be on the lookout for any establishments that try to operate without permission.

If caught, violators could be fined $10,000 a day for any violations.
