EDINBURG – An investigation is underway following an officer-involved shooting in Edinburg.

It happened at the 2600 block of Amanda Drive just after 9 p.m. on Monday.

According to Edinburg police, authorities arrived on scene in reference to a disturbance involving an intoxicated male with a knife, which resulted in a shooting.

A 46-year-old male was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Texas Rangers are conducting the investigation.
