EDCOUCH--The Texas Rangers is investigating a homicide in Edcouch.

DPS Lt. Johnny Hernandez confirmed to CHANNEL 5 NEWS one person was killed. The shooting happened before 5:30 P.M. Sunday north of Jose Borrego and Highway 107.

A CHANNEL 5 NEWS crew on scene saw a white SUV with multiple bullet holes.

There is no information on any suspects or if anyone else was inside the vehicle.
