Program Helping Veterans with Utility Bills Ending June 30

WESLACO – A program to help veterans pay their utility bills is ending soon.

The Bravo Zulu Program helps veterans in Hidalgo County pay their utility bills.

A veteran can receive up to $600 in aid. Enough funds are available to help more than 400 veterans.

To quality, a veteran must show proof of income, identification and unpaid utility bills.

More than 100 veterans were helped last month and 78 veterans were served this month.

The program ends June 30.
