UPDATE (3/2): Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office have cancelled a regional alert that was issued for a missing 52-year-old man.

Authorities say Gustavo Galvan Rivas has been located.

Rivas was last seen in Mission on Wednesday afternoon.

WESLACO – A regional alert has been issued for an endangered missing 52-year-old man.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Gustavo Galvan Rivas, who is said to have a medical condition.

According to a press release, he was last seen at 4 p.m. Wednesday on the 6800 block of Bagley Drive in Mission.

Authorities say he was also seen wearing a blue button-up shirt with blue jeans and black shoes.

Rivas is said to have a tattoo on his index finger of a “G” and another tattoo on his left arm.

He is described as having brown eyes and black hair. He is five feet, two inches tall and about 140 pounds.
