Reynosa Man Caught with $1 Million Worth of Alleged Meth

CBP arrested the 25-year-old in connection to a failed drug smuggling attempt.

HIDALGO – A 25-year-old man from Reynosa was arrested at an international bridge in connection with a failed drug smuggling attempt.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized $1 Million worth of methamphetamine Sunday at the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge.

The man was referred to a secondary inspection when officers discovered compartments in the vehicle filled with suspected narcotics.

CBP officers removed the 51 pounds of alleged meth.

The man was arrested and released to the custody of Homeland Security Investigations.
