School Board Runoff Election Most Costly for Rio Hondo ISD
RIO HONDO – One school board election was too close to call during the May elections.
Cameron County election officials tell CHANNEL 5 NEWS it’s the perfect example to show that every vote matters.
Each of the two candidates received 473 votes.
Neither incumbent Ernestina Rodriguez nor challenger Jaime Lopez pulled off a victory for the Rio Hondo Independent School District School Board Place 7.
Cameron County elections administrator Remi Garza tells us it’s a very unusual scenario.
