Several Flee after Border Agents Intercept Smuggling Attempt in Rio Grande City
RIO GRANDE CITY – Border Patrol agents seized more than 320 pounds of narcotics Monday in Rio Grande City.
Agents intercepted the smuggling attempt after an aerostat spotted “several” people near the border loading a SUV with bundles.
When agents stopped the vehicle, the people inside fled.
The bundles contained marijuana and were seized along with the vehicle.
