SPI Looking to Bring in Millions of Dollars in Outstanding Warrants

A spokesperson for SPI tells us the total number of warrants is 12,686.

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – The city of South Padre Island is looking to bring in millions of dollars in outstanding warrants.

Police say if you owe on old citations, you can avoid arrest by paying at the SPI Municipal Courthouse by March 8.

Payments options are available and can be made Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A spokesperson for SPI tells us the total number of warrants is 12,686, with a total amount due at nearly $3,400,000.
