Students Team with City of McAllen for Pollution Awareness
MCALLEN – Children are getting their hands dirty in the name of pollution awareness.
Fourth graders from Roosevelt Elementary in McAllen took part in the "Storm Project" to keep trash out of storm drains.
As part of their participation, the students beautified a storm drain inlet on Idela Avenue.
The students hope the art helps spread the message of keeping trash out of the drains.
McAllen Public Works will expand the project to other schools starting in the fall.
