WESLACO – Suspended Hidalgo County District Judge Rudy Delgado ran unopposed for the Democratic 13th Court of Appeals District Place 4 race and he may remain on the ballot for November.

Delgado was arrested and charged last month accused of taking bribes in exchange for favorable rulings.

According to the Hidalgo County Democratic Party Chair Rick Godinez, there are several options. Delgado can either resign or the party can choose to disqualify him. There’s also the choice for a write-in candidate.
