Troopers Prevent Vehicle from Falling into Canal

DPS says the driver could have sustained injuries had the vehicle fallen into the canal.

EDINBURG – Troopers helped to prevent a vehicle from falling about 20 feet into a canal on Wednesday.

With their quick thinking, they were able to use tow straps to secure the vehicle until the wrecker service arrived.

The Department of Public Safety says the driver could have sustained injuries had the vehicle fallen into the canal.
