Trump Administration Denounces Report Regarding Roundups

WASHINGTON D.C. – The Trump administration is denouncing a report by the Associated Press.

The report states the White House is proposing to use National Guard troops to place unauthorized immigrants into custody.

A draft memo obtained by the Associated Press revealed the administration is considering mobilizing 100,000 National Guard troops for the proposal.

According to the memo, governors in 11 states, including Texas, would have a choice whether to have their guard troops participate.

White House Spokesperson Sean Spicer called the AP report, “100 percent not true” and “irresponsible.”

The Texas Military Department released a statement in regards to the report. They said, “The Texas National Guards is aware of the reports in the media regarding proposal to activate 100,000 troops. However, we have received no official notification to execute any activation’s at this time.”
