SAN JUAN -  Valley Alliance of Mentors for Opportunities and Scholarships continues to pave the way for students’ success by offering four year renewable scholarships since 1996. Its Annual Golf Cup Tournament fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, March 4 at the Palm View Golf Course in McAllen.  The South Texas Luxury Experience has once again committed to a three-year endorsement as the tournament’s Title Auto Sponsor and is proud to contribute to the organization’s efforts of raising $1 million in scholarship funds.

As the Title Auto Sponsors, South Texas Luxury Experience will be the tournament’s official Hole in One sponsor. Tournament players will have an opportunity to win a Hole in One vehicle at each of the par 3’s from one of the four South Texas Luxury Experience dealerships. In addition, the general public will have the opportunity to participate in the VAMOS Annual Grand Prize Drawing for a chance at one of four grand prize vehicles from South Texas Luxury Experience dealerships.

This tournament is the organization’s largest fundraiser and is one of the most anticipated tournaments south of San Antonio.  Funds raised are applied to four-year renewable scholarships designated to graduating high school seniors of the Starr, Cameron, and Hidalgo County areas.  VAMOS’s goal is to raise $1 million for its scholarship program.  Last year, with the help of community support and its sponsors, VAMOS was able to award 75 students with four-year scholarships of up to $20,000 to the university of their choice for a total amount of $1 million. 

VAMOS is thankful to the South Texas Luxury Experience for their generous contribution and dedication to providing Rio Grande Valley students the opportunity to achieve a post-secondary education.  In partnership with sponsors like the South Texas Luxury Experience and assistance from outstanding volunteers, VAMOS can continue its mission to provide four year scholarships to our Valley students for years to come.
