Wind Chill Advisory in Effect for RGV

WESLACO – The National Weather Service in Brownsville issued a wind chill advisory for Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr and Willacy counties.

The advisory takes effect from today at 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Wind chill values will range from 24 to 29 degrees across the Rio Grande Valley.

A freeze watch was also issued for Hidalgo and Starr counties. The watch will remain in effect from late tonight through Saturday morning.

Residents venturing out should dress warmly. Pets should be provided shelter and plants may need to be covered.
