2 Sentenced for Conspiracy to Smuggle Grenade Launcher

BROWNSVILLE – Two people were sentenced to prison for their involvement in a conspiracy to buy and smuggle a grenade launcher and three semi-automatic rifles into Mexico.
Dulce Maria Rippstine, 38, was sentenced to more than three years in prison and Juan Segura-Olvera was sentenced to more than four years after pleading guilty to a conspiracy charge.
Prosecutors say Segura-Olvera will be deported after serving his prison sentence.
